BR 14 What a Lottery

I've got the winning lottery ticket. Rick has the ticket in his hand. I'm going to get eight million pounds for this ticket! Rick gets into the taxi. (p.24)      Have you ever won the lottery? My answer is unfortunately, no. Whenever I watch TV broadcasting about lottery, I think of something I want to buy if I got it. However, I have never bought a lottery.      In this story, a man, Rick likes to sing, playing guitar, but it's not his job. So, he buys a lottery to try to get money. In such a life, her girlfriend got angry and left him. Then, surprisingly, he won the lottery. He wanted to tell her about it, so take a taxi. However, it's not a general one. The driver in that taxi was criminal. He tried to get his lottery and finally, the lottery was broken and became invalid. When he waked up, he didn't remember what happened to him, and even who he was. Then, a woman asked him to play the guitar in her stage as a singer. He fells happy because it's like win

BR 13 The Girl at the Window

Don't cry, my little darling. I'm here; Grace is here. You're with me now. Everything's going to be all right. Grace is going to sing to you.(p.25)      This is a strange, but warm story. Can you image that our children are taken by someone, suddenly? I can't believe to do that. But, it really happened in this story.      Grace gave birth to a pretty girl. She became a mother and she was waiting for her husband to come back from his work as a soldier. However, an incident happened. A woman, Sue took the baby and said she grow the baby. In Sue's house, there was a window, and Grace was always looking her child from the window. However, Sue thought that it was a picture, so Grace could keep looking her daring baby. One day, the house was on fire. Grace embraced the baby and protected the daughter. Then a fireman got into the room. It was her husband, but he didn't notice, and he took the baby.      I think it is strange that the woman is over the window,

BR 12 The House on the Hill

I like clever, young people, Paul. I like you. You understand, don't you?(p.30)      Is it possible for a poor man to marry a rich woman? I think that it isn't important whether they are rich or not. All people can marry freely. However, in this story, it's not so easy.      A man, Paul, met a beautiful girl, Maria, one day. As he sees her, he loved her. She was a rich girl who lived on the hill, but he was very poor. After days, he told her his feeling, and she also had the same feeling with him. However, a few days later, when he said to her "I love you.", she started to run away. Why? It was because of her mother. She was so hard and cold. She didn't admit him to marry her daughter. At last, she married a fat, old, but rich man. He couldn't understand that situation. Then, he decided to win a prize by writing a poem, and he actually, made the dream come true! Then, he started to look for Maria. He finally met her, but...      I think that it is fr

BR 11 Bad Love

I looked back at the city of Denver. It looked like it always looked. A man was dead and my friend killed him, but the city didn't change. That's how it is.(p.32)  We can't judge people by their figure or rumor about them. This was what I thought after finishing reading this story.  A man, Daly was a famous doctor in Denver and had saved many sports players, singers and other famous people. Flick fell in love with the doctor. They made a promise to meet at a cafe. However, before their promise, the doctor died. At first, most people thought that he killed himself, but she realized that it was not true. Then, she starts\ed to look for someone who killed him. Through her research, she got to know about the man variously. Most of the information about him made her disappointed. He was not such a good doctor. He had a lot of girl friend. Finally, she found the one who killed the man.  Through this story, I thought that we shouldn't judge people just only by their fi
